Had a quick look through each frame of both hives.
Alpha hive is more advanced with bees drawing foundation of both adjoining new frames, beta hive has no drawn foundation yet and they are working the original frames. Sugar syrup was gone from A but quite a bit left in B.
Hive A was the stronger and more active from the time they arrived, it will be interesting to see if it catches up.
Capped brood and larva were found in both, only saw the queen in A.
